home, where my thoughts escaping

I am popping in to say hello, having spread out my red spotted handkerchief at my temporary lodgings (the photo above is not, of course, my temporary lodgings, but the very lovely Crosthwaite House in Cumbria, which I can heartily recommend).

I have only intermittent wifi here so internet activity is sporadic. It's a strange and unsettling time getting used to being a lodger for a while, trying to sort out my new house and garden under pressure of time, and of course life doesn't pause itself when times like this happen, either.

Suffice to say I am rather stressed. I am taking refuge in Pinterest and crochet and toast. I have my art materials here too but they remain untouched for now. A full night's sleep is enough of a challenge for me at the moment.

Don't go away.

I will not. I'll be patient and quiet, waiting for some news about your changing way of living... I need such a period of listening to my inner-self, too. I'll tell you in a mail why...
A lovely pastoral sight, by the way!:))

Sue, It's very good to see this hello from you (and to see the beautiful Cumbria view you share.)

Crochet and toast sound pretty good to me. I admit to so far resisting the Pinterest call, but know of its charms. How very fortunate I am myself to easily find the way to the land of nod most nights. There have been other times in my life when that path was not so easy, so I do understand your challenge.

Best wishes to you on the housing...I do look forward to hearing more from you soon (hopefully in person!) xo

Thanks all for your lovely comments. I did have the option to reply in the last couple of posts but it seemed tricky to use so have disabled it, will reply personally if possible.

You had dropped off my blog roll (why does that sometimes happen?)) and then I noticed you on someone else's. So happy. I love your blog Sue and long may it continue!

Hello and best wishes to you with the lodging and with the new house. New beginnings can be very tiring, can't they, even without the stress of a deadline, so I hope that the crochet and toast are sustaining you and that you are sleeping better.

My heart beats just a little faster when I hear of people moving. Having lived in five houses now, and contemplating the next move, I know just how stressful it can all be. But so lovely to click on the link and find your post! Good luck and try to enjoy your lodgings!
